이번 정비 사업은 도시미관을 해치고 주민 생활에 불편을 주는 각종 불법광고물을 월별로 계획을 수립하고 집중 단속을 통해 쾌적한 도시경관을 조성하는 사업이다. 정비 주요 내용은 '차량 및 학생의 통행량이 많은 상가, 유흥업소 등의 주변 도로 중점 단속 및 예찰', '학생 안전이 우려되는 노후·추락 위험 광고물 즉시 정비', '음란·퇴폐 내용의 선정적인 유해광고물을 즉시 정비' 등으로 구성된다고 전했다.
