[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 3월 29일, 의정부시 호원2동 허가안전과는 안전하고 올바른 교통 질서 확립을 위해 어린이 보호 구역 주·정차 캠페인 및 야간 계도를 실시했다고 밝혔다.

시민들의 왕래가 잦은 장소에서 어린이 보호구역 내 주·정차 금지 안내 및 주민신고 제도에 대해 홍보 활동을 실시했고, 일반인들을 대상으로 어린이 보호구역 피켓으로 관련 내용을 안내했으며, 주민신고제 및 주·정차 금지 안내문을 배포하는 등 올바른 교통질서 확립을 위해 적극적인 캠페인을 펼쳤다고 전했다.

이와 더불어 지속적인 민원 발생 지역이자 어린이 보호구역인 호암초등학교 및 호원고등학교 일대에서 야간 주·정차 계도를 실시했고, 퇴근 시간대에 맞추어 주·정차된 차량에 대해 주·정차 금지 협조 안내장을 부착하는 등의 적극적인 홍보 활동을 이어 나갔다고 했다.
