[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 1월 6일 (사)양주시자원봉사센터는 양주무지개봉사회에서 지역 내 취약계층을 위해 써달라며 이웃돕기 성금 150만원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

이날 전달받은 성금은 코로나19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 장애인 취약계층 등 도움이 필요한 저소득 계층에 사용될 예정이라고 했다.

센터 관계자는 어려운 여건 속에서도 소외된 이웃들을 위해 따듯한 나눔을 실천해주신 조규철 회장님을 비롯한 회원들께 감사드린다”며 “앞으로도 복지 사각지대에 놓인 이웃들을 위한 나눔 활동이 지속될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.

한편 양주무지개봉사회는 추석 명절 음식 나눔, 사랑의 반찬 나눔 봉사 등 관내 취약계층을 위한 다양한 후원과 활동을 꾸준히 이어나가고 있다고 밝혔다.
