[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 24일 (사)양주시자원봉사센터는 희망나눔터 봉사단과 함께 ‘코로나19 영웅들을 위한 찜질팩 만들기’ 비대면 봉사활동을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이번 활동은 코로나19 극복을 위해 방역 현장에서 고군분투하는 의료진과 자원봉사자의 피로 회복과 스트레스 관리를 위해 마련됐다고 했다.

센터는 4개 권역 희망나눔터 코치와 함께 천연 항균물질인 피톤치드가 다량 함유돼 있는 편백나무 큐브가 담긴 어깨찜질팩 250개를 직접 손바느질하는 등 정성스럽게 제작했으며 코로나19 대응으로 지친 선별검사소 의료진, 자원봉사자들에게 전달할 예정이라고 했다.

이번 활동에 참여한 봉사자들은 “찜질팩 안에 들어간 편백나무 큐브에서 좋은 향기가 나서 머리도 맑아지고 봉사활동을 하며 힐링이 되며 나눔터와 집에서 소소하게 할 수 있는 봉사활동이라 굉장히 즐겁게 참여하고 있다”고 전했으며 “직접 만든 찜질팩이 코로나19 극복에 앞선 분들께 따뜻한 응원이 된다는 생각으로 열심히 만들고 있다”고 소감을 밝혔다.
