[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 14일 (사)양주시자원봉사센터는 나드리봉사회의 후원으로 코로나19로 어려움을 겪고 있는 취약계층을 위한 고구마 나눔 행사를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이날 나눔 행사에는 이창열 회천4동장을 비롯해 자원봉사센터 관계자와 봉사회 회원들이 참석했으며 한 해 동안 직접 재배하고 수확한 고구마 5kg 200박스를 (사)양주시자원봉사센터에 기탁했고, 고구마는 회천노인복지관, 옥정종합사회복지관 등 관내 복지기관과 저소득층에 전달할 예정이라고 전했다.

임의빈 회장은 “코로나19로 모두가 힘든 시기에 어려운 이웃에게 도움을 드릴 수 있어 보람을 느낀다”며 “앞으로도 지역사회에 도움을 줄 수 있도록 다양한 나눔 활동에 앞장서겠다”고 소감을 밝혔다.

이창열 회천4동장은 “수확의 기쁨을 지역사회와 주민과 함께해준 나드리봉사회에 감사를 드리며 따뜻한 마음과 정성이 담긴 고구마는 관내 저소득 가정에 소중히 전달하겠다”고 전했다.
