[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부] 3일 경기도와 GH는 경기도 내 외국인투자단지 8개소 평택 어연한산ㆍ오성ㆍ현곡ㆍ추팔ㆍ포승, 화성 장안1ㆍ2, 파주 당동을 대상으로 코로나-19 예방을 위한 대대적인 방역 활동을 시행했다고 밝혔다.

정부는 코로나-19 확산세가 지속하고 있는 시점에서 유행 통제를 위해 지난 4월 26일부터 5월 2일까지 1주일간을 ‘특별방역관리주간’으로 정해 방역을 강화하기로 발표했다고 전했다. 

이에 GH는 4월 26일부터 30일까지 외투단지 건물 내ㆍ외부 및 단지 전역에 대해 공사와 입주기업이 함께하는 합동 방역을 실시했다. 근로자들이 자주 이용하는 장소 및 공용시설에 대해서는 집중적인 살균소독을 실시했다고 전했다.

GH 이헌욱 사장은 “코로나-19 집단감염으로 인해 확진자 수가 급격히 증가하고 있는 상황에서 입주기업들은 특별히 방역수칙 준수와 개인위생에 철저를 기해 달라”고 말했다.

한편, 경기도 외국인투자단지는 1997년 외환위기 이후 외국인투자를 촉진하기 위해 지정된 산업단지이며 GH는 산업통상자원부 · 경기도의 위탁을 받아 99개 외국인투자기업을 관리하고 있다고 했다.
