[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 경기주택도시공사(GH)는 광교신도시를 방문한 캄보디아 경제재정부 정책국 사절단에게 광교신도시 개발과정과 성공사례를 전파했다고 밝혔다.

캄보디아 정부는 ‘경제발전 공유사업’을 통해 부동산 리스크 모니터링 시스템 정책을 수립하여 캄보디아 부동산 시장의 안정에 기여하고자 협동 연구 과제를 실시하고 있다.

※ 경제발전 공유사업 : 기획재정부와 한국개발연구원이 캄보디아 등 89개 경제협력국의 경제·사회 발전을 위해 정책자문을 제공하는 사업

동 사업의 일환으로 광교신도시 현장에서 진행된 이날 행사에는 캄보디아 경제재정부 정책국장이 참석한 가운데, 사업 소개와 질의응답, 현장투어를 실시했다. 

GH 광교사업단은 사절단에게 광교신도시 개발과정 및 성공사례(특별계획구역 지정을 통한 경기융합타운 개발, 수원컨벤션센터 건립, TOD-대중교통기반의 개발, 광교 호수공원 조성)를 전달했으며, 경기도신청사 등 광교신도시를 견학했다.

※TOD-대중교통 : 대중교통과 토지이용을 연계하여 대중교통중심의 고밀개발을 유도하는 방식

GH 관계자는 “앞으로도 25년간 축적된 GH의 도시개발 경험과 노하우를 공유할 수 있도록 힘쓰겠다”고 밝혔다.

한편, 광교신도시는 수원시 이의동, 용인시 상현동 일원 1,130만㎡ 규모로 GH가 조성한 친환경 자족 신도시이며, 광교신도시 내 광교호수공원은 2014년 대한민국 경관대상을 수상한 바 있다.
