[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 오는 12월 1일 양주시는 다함께돌봄센터 2호점인 ‘회천2동 다함께돌봄센터’를 개소하고 본격적인 돌봄서비스 지원 강화에 나선다고 밝혔다.

다함께돌봄센터는 초등 방과 후 사각지대 해소를 목적으로 공공시설, 공동주택 등 유휴공간을 활용해 돌봄서비스를 제공하는 시설로 소득 수준과 상관없이 돌봄이 필요한 초등학생에게 돌봄과 독서·숙제지도 등 프로그램을 제공한다고 했다.

양주시는 회천2동 다함께돌봄센터 개소를 위해 지난 8월 비영리민간단체 ‘꿈꾸는 아이들과 함께하는 세상’과 시설 무료임대 협약을 체결하고 평화로1416번길 8에 위치한 건물 4층 96.36㎥ 면적을 10년간 무료로 인수했으며, 아동 특성에 맞는 다양한 돌봄프로그램을 제공하기 위해 정적-동적 활동실, 사무실, 상담실 등을 갖춘 아동돌봄 전문시설로 리모델링을 마치고 개소를 앞두고 있다고 전했다.

다함께돌봄센터 2호점 공간을 무상으로 제공한 ‘꿈꾸는 아이들과 함께하는 세상’은 회천2동 다함께돌봄센터를 지정위탁 받아 운영하고, 이용대상은 소득 수준과 관계없이 방과 후 돌봄이 필요한 만 6세~12세 초등학생으로 초등 저학년의 맞벌이, 한부모, 다자녀 가정을 우선 대상이며, 학기 중에는 평일 오전 10시부터 오후 7시까지, 방학 중에는 평일 오전 9시부터 오후 6시까지 운영한다고 했다.
