[김택곤 기자=영월군] 영월군은 설날을 앞두고 제수·선물용으로 소비가 늘고 있는 임산물에 대하여 원산지 표시단속을 실시한다고 밝혔다.

단속대상은 설날 제수용 임산물을 판매하는 전통시장, 대형마트로 단속은 원산지 미표시나 표시방법을 위반하는 행위, 원산지 표시를 손상하거나 변경하는 행위 등이다. 단속품목은 밤, 대추, 고사리, 산양삼 등 주요임산물 14개 품목이다.

또한, 영월군에서는 영세지역 상인에게 임산물 원산지 표시판을 제작·배부하여 법을 위반하는 일이 없도록 계도 및 지도를 병행할 예정이다.

정운중 영월군 산림녹지과장은 “민족 최대명절인 설을 앞두고 임산물에 대한 원산지 단속으로 안심할 수 있는 먹거리를 제공하고, 임산물의 물가안정과 수급 안정을 추진해 임산물의 소비 촉진도 함께 유도해 나가겠다.”고 밝혔다.
