[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시가 물가인상 등 소비 심리 위축으로 침체된 전통시장을 위해 오는 3월부터 12월까지 관내 전통시장과 5일장 활성화에 나선다.

이에따라, 시청 전 부서 직원들이 부서별로 운영일을 지정해 매월 1회 이상 점심시간을 활용하여 장보기와 식당 이용에 동참한다.

장보기와 식당 이용 시에는 삼척사랑상품권 및 온누리상품권을 사용하여 지역경제 소비 활성화와 전통시장 활력 제고에 힘쓸 예정이다.

시는, 홈페이지와 온·오프라인에서 전통시장 홍보와 소상공인 지원 유관기관 및 단체와 홍보 캠페인을 연계하여 전통시장 활성화에 앞장선다는 계획이다.

삼척시 관계자는 “시민들과 지역 내 공공기관을 비롯한 사회단체·기업 등도 ‘전통시장 가는 날’에 동참하여 주실 것을 부탁드린다.”고 말했다.
