[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 24일 코레일 의정부관리역은 동두천시자원봉사센터를 방문하여 관내 취약계층을 위한 사랑의 쌀 나눔 행사를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사에서 의정부관리역은 전통시장 활성화를 위해 동두천시장에서 온누리상품권으로 구입한 쌀 320kg을 동두천시자원봉사센터에 전달하였으며 기탁한 쌀은 관내 취약계층에게 전달될 예정이라고 했다. 

정병철 역장은 “작은 나눔이지만 어려운 시기에 이웃 간에 훈훈한 정을 나누는 계기가 되길 바라며, 앞으로도 어려운 이웃들에게 많은 관심을 가지고 지역사회와 함께하는 의정부역이 되도록 노력하겠다”고 전했다.

손덕환 센터장은 “코로나19 장기화로 인해 우리 모두 힘든 시기에 도움을 주셔서 감사드리며, 사회적 거리두기 강화로 이웃 간 만남이 줄어들고 있는 시기인 만큼 취약계층가정을 직접 방문하여 안부확인과 함께 물품을 잘 전달하겠다”고 말했다.
