[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 4월 20일, 정선군종합사회복지회관에서는 정선종합경기장 보조구장에서 장애인과 가족들을 위한 체육행사를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

정선군장애인총연합회 주관으로 매년 장애인의 날 행사가 진행되었으나 코로나19로 인해 올해도 전면 취소된 상황에서 '제42회 장애인의 날'을 맞이하여 복지관을 이용하는 장애인과 가족들을 위해 지친 몸과 마음을 달래기 위한 소통과 화합의 장 마련을 위해 진행하게 되었다고 했다.

이날 체육행사는 '더 빛날 당신, 행복한 우리'라는 주제로 장애인 및 가족, 복지관 직원들이 함께 참여해 풍선 전달하여 터뜨리기, 바운스 바운스, 스윙볼, 댄스타임, 신발던지기, OX퀴즈, 레크레이션 등 모두가 함께 즐길 수 있는 다양한 프로그램이 진행되었고, 또한 체육행사는 가족간의 관계가 더욱 돈독해지고 서로를 이해할 수 있는 시간은 물론 장애인들의 긍정적인 관계 형성을 돕고 상호간 친선을 도모하는 자리가 되었다고 전했다.

아울러 복지관에서는 지역 내 재가장애인들을 대상으로 일상생활 훈련, 교육 및 문화·여가 활동지원으로 개인관리능력 및 사회적응력을 향상시킬 수 있는 장애인주간보호사업인 어울림 프로그램을 운영하고 있다고 했다.

조원행 정선군종합사회복지관장은 "코로나19로 인해 관내 장애인이 모두 참석하지는 못했지만, 더 빛날 당신, 행복한 우리”라는 행사 슬로건처럼 앞으로도 장애인 가족 모두가 즐겁고 행복한 시간이 더욱 많아지기를 바란다"고 말했다.
