[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난달 31일 포천시는 사회복지사의 날을 맞아 포천시사회복지사협회와 함께 시청 대강당에서 ‘제3회 사회복지사의 날’ 기념식을 개최했다고 밝혔다.

행사는 박윤국 시장을 비롯한 포천시의회 손세화 의장, 더불어민주당 국방·안보특별위원회 이철휘 위원장, 경기도사회복지사협회 박일규 회장 등 각급 기관단체장과 일선에서 일하고 있는 사회복지사 50여 명이 참석한 가운데 진행했으며, 우수사회복지사 15명에게 표창을 수여했다고 했다.

표창대상자는 사회복지사협회와 시설, 단체 등으로부터 복지서비스 제공을 위해 노력해온 이들을 추천받아 선정했으며, 포천시 가족센터 정보람 등 5명은 포천시장상을, 포천시 가나안의 집 이영희 등 4명은 포천시의회의장상을, 포천시 종합사회복지관 김설 등 3명은 국회의원상을, 시민복지과 최다연 등 3명은 경기도사회복지협회장상을 수여했다고 했다.

또한, 정미숙 회장은 사회복지사 처우개선을 위해 5년 동안 포천시 사회복지사협회에 기부를 해온 선 디자인 대표 정희선에 감사패를 전달했다고 했다.

정미숙 회장은 “사회복지사의 날을 맞이하여 앞으로도 사회복지사들의 권익 신장을 위해 더욱 노력해 나가겠다.”고 말했다.
