시는 집중 홍보 기간 동안 수급 희망 이력관리제로 수급 가능성이 예측된 사람에게 신청을 안내하고, 동 행정복지센터 및 노인 복지기관 등과 협력해 현수막 게시 및 문자메시지 발송 등 적극적인 신청 홍보를 실시할 계획이라고 했다. 

지난 2022년 3월 말 기준 동해시에 등록된 기초연금 수급자는 13,931명이며, 기초연금은 만 65세 이상 소득 하위 70% 어르신에게 지급하고, 올해에는 전년 대비 지급액이 인상돼 단독가구 최대 307,500원, 부부가구 합산 최대 492,000원까지 받을 수 있으며, 자세한 상담 및 신청은 해당 주소지 동 행정복지센터에서 할 수 있다고 전했다. 

임정규 가족교육과장은 “기관 및 단체와 협력해 수급 자격이 되는 분이라면 모두 빠짐없이 혜택을 받을 수 있도록 적극적으로 홍보하겠다”라고 말했다.
