[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 오늘(12일) 오후 삼척시청 앞에서 덕산마을 주민들은 삼척화력발전소 건설 관련보상 형평성을 성토하며, 맹방해변은 연안정비 사업 및 관광친수시설 공사비가 950억 원이 책정됐는데 반해 연접한 덕산해변을 위한 공사비는 0원으로 보상에서 덕산마을 배제에 대한 항의 집회를 개최했다. 

시위에 참여한 덕산마을 주민대표인 김기연 이장은 "해양전문가들도 맹방해변 뿐만 아니라 연접지역인 덕산해변의 피해도 예상하고 있다."며 "먼 미래가 아니라 현재도 덕산해변의 해안침식 등 피해가 발생하고 있어 덕산 주민들은 생존권 보장을 위해 행동에 나섰다.'고 밝혔다.

함께 시위에 참여한 덕산마을 주민 A씨는 "덕산해변 역시, 연접한 맹방해변과 똑같은 연안정비 사업 및 관광친수시설 공사비 950억 원을 책정 해야지 형평성이 맞다."고 항변했다.

한편, 덕산마을 주민들은 삼척화력발전소 허가와 관련하여 해양수산부 3차 보완에 따라 삼척시와 포스파워가 작성해 제출한 협약서와 합의서에 지역협력사업(630억원)과 맹방지역 관광친수시설(950억원)이행은 삼척화력발전소 가동 전까지 완료하여야 한다는 조항이 있다며, 

덕산마을 주민들은 해안침식방지와 지역협력사업과 관광친수시설이 완료될 때까지 발전소 준공을 반대하는 것을 삼척시청, 삼척시의회, 삼척블루파워에 강력히 요청했다.
