[김현우 기자 = 강릉] 강릉시는 21일 오후 2시 강릉시청에서 '공동주택 건설현장 지역업체 참여' 협약서를 시행사, 시공사와 함께 체결한다고 밝혔다.

협약 내용은 사업하기 좋은 강릉 만들기 및 지역 건설경기 활성화를 위해 민간사업자 공동주택 건설현장 2곳을 대상으로 총공사비의 40% 이상을 지역업체가 참여하도록 하는 것이다. 

강릉시의 역점사업 중 하나인 대규모 투자사업(호텔, 콘도, 골프장, 아파트 등)에 대해 하도급 등 지역 건설업체 참여 확대, 지역 건설장비, 자재, 생산제품 등을 우선 사용, 지역주민 근로자 사업장 우선 채용 등을 협약해 지역업체와의 상생을 통해 침체된 지역경제 활성화에 기여하고 이를 위해 지속적으로 노력할 계획이다.

김홍규 강릉시장은 “이번 협약이 지역과 상생하는 모델이 되도록 적극 협조를 바라며, 공동주택 등 대규모 투자사업에 대해 업무협약 체결을 지속적으로 실시해 지역건설산업의 발전을 물론 지역경제 활성화와 일자리 창출을 위해 최선의 노력을 다하겠다”고 밝혔다.
