[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 삼척시가 주최하고 정라동번영회가 주관하는 이번 행사는 오는 12월 31일~내년 1월 2일까지 3일간 삼척 이사부광장 일원에서 2022년 삼척대게축제를 개최한다.

12월 31일 오전 10시부터는 대게 낚시를 비롯해 대게, 비빔밥, 도루묵 등 시식 행사와 대게 이벤트, 대게 경매 등 다양한 체험행사가 운영되며, 15시에는 이사부광장 내 특설무대에서 개회식이 진행된다.

또한, 1월 1일 오전 7시부터는 북공연, 대게 어묵 시식 등 해맞이 행사가 병행되며, 행사기간 동안 매직쇼, 난타, 지역 가수 공연과 응급처치, 가죽공예, VR체험 등 체험부스와 향토음식, 푸드트럭 등 먹거리 행사가 지속 운영된다.

삼척시 관계자는 “이번 축제를 통해 삼척 대게의 우수성을 관광객과 지역주민에게 홍보하여 어업인 소득 증대에 기여하고, 코로나19 사회적 거리두기 실시로 위축된 지역 경기에 활력을 불어넣겠다.”고 전했다.

한편, 삼척대게축제는 코로나19로  2019년 이후 3년 만에 개최된다.
