[김준호 기자 = 동해시] 동해시(시장 심규언)는 해군 제1함대(사령관 최성혁)와 지역의 다양한 분야에서 상생 발전을 위한 상생협약을 맺는다고 밝혔다.

이와 관련하여 오는 22일 시청 2층 회의실에서 심규언 시장을 비롯해 최성혁 해군 제1함대 사령관과 참모자 등 지휘부 10여명이 참석한 가운데 협약식을 개최한다.  

이날 협약에는 국장급을 공동대표로 하는 상생발전협의회를 구성·운영하고, 해군 제1함대는 지역 및 해군 관련 현안 해결을 동해시는 해군 제1함대 장병들의 복지증진을 위하여 적극 협력한다는 내용을 담았다.

해군 제1함대와 동해시는 이번 협약을 통해 앞으로도 신뢰를 바탕으로 동해시 발전을 위한 협력체계를 더욱 공고히 해 나갈 방침이다.

심규언 시장은 “그간 재해구호와 민·관·군 유대강화를 위해 협력해온 해군 제1함대와 체결한 이번 협약을 통해 상생 발전할 수 있는 계기가 되기를 희망한다”고 전했다.
