[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 18일 의정부시자살예방센터는 의정부스마일센터와 생명존중 및 자살예방을 위한 간담회를 진행했다고 밝혔다.

이번 간담회는 스마일센터 이경욱센터장, 의정부시자살예방센터 송주연 센터장을 비롯한 관계자 9명이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다고 했다.

두 기관은 이번 간담회를 통해 의정부 지역 피해대상자 의뢰·연계, 실무자 게이트키퍼 양성 및 활용, 생명사랑 문화조성 공동 홍보 등 상호 간 협력하여 지역 내 정신건강 및 자살예방 협력 체계를 구축하고 발전시켜 나가자는 의견을 나눴다고 했다.

의정부스마일센터장 이경욱은 “최근 진행되고 있는 범죄피해자들의 사례에서 자살시도자이거나 자살사고가 높은 대상이 많은 현상을 보이고 있으며, 지역사회 내 다양한 자원연계를 시도하는 중 의정부시자살예방센터의 도움이 가장 크고 이에 대한 감사의 뜻을 전한다”인사하며 감사패를 전달했다.

의정부시자살예방센터장 송주연은 “스마일센터와의 정기적인 네트워크 회의를 통해서 함께 사례를 논의하고 활발한 의뢰·연계하여 서비스 수여자들의 drop out을 최소화하자”고 제안했다.
