[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 삼척시(시장 박상수)는 지난 8월 여성친화도시로서, 디지털 성범죄로부터 안전한 환경 조성을 위해 삼척해변과 새천년도로변 공중화장실 4개소에 불법촬영 예방 활동으로 19개의 안심스크린을 설치에 이어 9월  22일 공중화장실 등 다중이용시설의 불법카메라 설치 여부 합동점검을 실시했다.

이번 점검은 삼척시, 삼척경찰서, 삼척가정폭력성폭력통합상담소, 여성친화도시 시민참여단과 함께 12명이 합동점검반을 이뤄 관내 공원과 해변 공중화장실 등 다중이용시설 8개소를 대상으로 전문탐지장비 등을 활용해 집중 점검한 결과 불법 촬영기기로부터 안전한 것으로 확인됐다.

특히, 이용자가 많은 공중화장실 등 다중이용시설은 민․관․경 합동 단속과 홍보 스티커 부착 등 예방 활동을 지속적으로 실시할 계획이며, 단속 중 불법 촬영 기기가 발견되면 경찰 수사를 통해 엄단한다는 방침이다.

시 관계자는 “불법 촬영 범죄는 불특정 다수가 피해자가 될 수 있는 중대한 범죄이며, 수시 점검을 통해 불법 촬영 범죄를 근절하고, 디지털 성범죄로부터 안전한 환경을 조성하는데 최선을 다하겠다.”고 전했다.
