[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12월 23일 포천시새마을회는 새마을회관에서 한 해를 마무리하는 ‘2021년 포천시 새마을지도자대회’를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

이날 행사는 박윤국 포천시장, 포천시의회 의장 직무대리 송상국 부의장, 최춘식 국회의원, 이원웅 경기도의원, 양윤호 새마을지도자경기도협의회장 등 각 기관단체장이 참석해 올 한 해 열심히 봉사한 새마을가족 90명에게 표창을 수여하고 우수 읍면동에 대한 시상을 진행했고, 강화된 코로나19 사회적 거리두기에 따라 1부, 2부, 3부로 나누어 코로나19 방역수칙을 준수하며 진행했다고 했다.

이경묵 포천시새마을회장은 “코로나19로 힘든 시기에 올 한 해 새마을운동과 지역발전을 힘써주신 새마을가족 여러분들의 노고에 깊은 감사를 드리며, 얼마 남지 않은 2021년 마무리 잘하시고 새해에는 모두 건강하시고 행복하시기 바란다.”라고 말했다.

박윤국 포천시장은 “다사다난했던 해였지만 포천시새마을회 여러분과 많은 것을 해낸 한 해였다. 앞으로도 많은 것을 함께 이루어나가길 바란다.”라고 전했다.

한편 포천시새마을회는 올 한해 코로나19 예방접종센터, 선별진료소 자원봉사활동에 160명이 참여했으며, ‘사랑의 밑반찬 나누기’, ‘사랑의 김장 나누기’ 등 이웃돕기 활동을 실시한 바 있다고 밝혔다.
