[김준호 기자 = 삼척시] 더불어민주당 동해태백삼척정선 지역위원회(위원장 한호연)는 9월 7일 오전 11시부터 12시까지 삼척시 전통시장인 중앙시장에서 “추석 명절맞이 전통시장 장보기 캠페인”을 진행했다고 밝혔다. 

이날 캠페인은 코로나19와 고물가 시대에 지역경제 활성화를 위한 취지로 열렸으며, 행사장인 중앙시장은 매월 , 2일과 7일에 열리는 삼척시의 대표적인 5일장이다.

캠페인에는 삼척시의회 이광우의원과 김민우사무국장 및 핵심당직자들이 함께 참여한 가운데 재래시장 곳곳을 둘러보며 명절에 사용할 과일, 채소 등 개인별 제수용품 구입하는 등 지역경제 활성화를 위해 노력하는 모습을 보였다.

한호연지역위원장은 “추석 명절을 맞아 지역 전통시장 활성화를 위해 이번 캠페인을 추진하게 되었다.”라며, 삼척을 찾아오시는 많은 분들이 “전통시장을 방문하셔서 삼척지역의 다양한 농특산품을 찾아주시면 좋겠다.”라고 밝혔다.
