[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 6.1지방선거 삼척시장에 국민의힘 박상수가 당선됐다.

제8회 전국동시지방선거 개표 결과 국민의힘 박상수 18,031(49.12%), 더불어민주당 김양호 17,107(45.92%), 무소속 안호성 1,563(4.25%)으로 김양호 3선 도전을 저지하며 정권교체에 성공했다.

이날 박 당선인은 "박상수 너 열심히 하라는 그런 명령이다. 그렇게 받아들이고 앞으로 삼척시 발전을 위해서 열심히 열심히 노력하겠습니다."라고 말했다.

한편, 민주당에 대한 심판론이 강하게 적용된 이번 6.1지방선거에서 3선에 도전한 더불어민주당 김양호 후보도 삼척시민들의 심판을 피해가지 못했다. 

삼척시민들이 선택한 박상수 당선인이 그려나갈 삼척시의 미래에 대해 시민들의 기대감은 높아지고 있다.
