[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 15일 양주시 백석읍은 (주)고려진공안전에서 추석을 맞아 관내 저소득계층을 위해 써달라며 ‘추석 명절 희망박스’ 30개를 전달했다고 밝혔다.

희망박스는 코로나19 재확산으로 소외되기 쉬운 이웃이 추석 명절을 지낼 수 도록 튀김가루, 참기름, 해바라기유, 된장, 설탕 등으로 구성되며 기초수급자, 한부모 가정 등 취약계층에게 전달할 예정이라고 했다.

김광자 대표는 “추석을 맞이하여 소외계층에게 작은 정성을 전달해 조금이나마 따뜻한 명절을 보내길 바란다”고 전했다.

고윤구 백석읍장은 “코로나19로 모두가 힘든 상황임에도 불구하고 어려운 이웃을 위한 나눔에 앞장서주셔서 감사드린다”며 “주민 모두가 풍성한 한가위를 보낼 수 있도록 잘 전달하겠다”고 말했다.

Baekseok-eup, Yangju City, delivered 30 ‘Chuseok Holiday Hope Boxes’ from Korea Vacuum Safety Co., Ltd.

Delivered to the low-income class in the area on Chuseok

[Reporter Kim Hyun-woo = Northern Gyeonggi/Gangwon] On the 15th, Baekseok-eup, Yangju-si, Korea Vacuum Safety Co., Ltd. announced that it had delivered 30 'Chuseok Holiday Hope Boxes' to use for the low-income class on the occasion of Chuseok.

The Hope Box is composed of frying powder, sesame oil, sunflower oil, soybean paste, and sugar so that neighbors who are likely to be marginalized due to the re-spread of Corona 19 can spend the Chuseok holiday, and it will be delivered to vulnerable groups such as basic recipients and single-parent families.

CEO Kim Kwang-ja said, “I hope that Chuseok will bring a small amount of sincerity to the underprivileged to have a warm holiday.”

Baek Seok-eup Mayor Ko Yoon-gu said, “I am grateful for taking the lead in sharing for our neighbors in need despite the difficult situation everyone is in due to COVID-19.
