[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 30일 양주시 백석읍에서는 하이원산업과 청솔환경산업 직원들이 백석읍 저소득층 가정을 방문해 주거환경개선 봉사활동을 실시했다고 밝혔다.

이날 봉사활동은 독거 어르신의 열악한 주거 환경을 개선하기 위해 실시한 것으로 두 기업의 직원들은 도배기술, 보일러수리 교육과정을 수료해 관내 주거개선이 필요한 곳을 찾아 봉사를 실시해오고 있다고 했다. 

유재운 대표는 “직원들이 가진 재능과 자원을 십분 활용해 어려운 이웃을 도울 수 있길 희망하여 재능기부 봉사를 결심하게 됐다”고 말했다.

이원희 대표는 “앞으로도 도움이 필요한 이웃에 재능기부 봉사를 지속적으로 실시할 계획이다”고 말했다. 

고윤구 백석읍장은 “우리 마을 어려운 이웃을 위해 자발적으로 봉사를 해주신 하이원산업과 청솔환경산업 직원들에게 고맙다”며 “앞으로도 다양한 민간자원을 발굴해 복지사각지대를 줄여갈 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
