[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 11일 의정부시는 임인년 새해를 맞아 황범순 의정부시 부시장 주재로 1월 동장 정례회의를 개최했다고 밝혔다.

거리두기 강화조치의 연장 시행으로 인해 비대면 온라인으로 진행된 이 날 회의에는 안병용 시장과 황범순 부시장을 비롯한 안전교통건설국장, 균형개발추진단장, 환경사업소장 및 관내 동장이 참석한 가운데 진행됐다고 했다.

이날 회의는 노후된 야외운동기구, 도로 및 빗물받이 보수와 노면 색깔 유도선 설치, 산책로 출입 통로 정비 등 도로교통, 안전, 환경 등 다양한 주민 불편사항이 건의됐으며, 특히 장암동, 자금동, 송산1동에서는 도봉면허시험장 이전사업, E-Commerce Cluster 조성사업 등 주민의 관심이 높은 본청 현안사업에 대한 주민여론을 공유했고, 주민의 오해를 해소하고 사업에 대한 올바른 정보를 전달할 수 있도록 심도 있게 논의했다고 전했다.

안병용 의정부시장은 “동장회의를 통해 주민의 불편사항을 동장님들이 신속하게 대응하고 해결해주어 시민의 삶의 질이 많이 향상됐다. 동장님들의 노력에 감사드리고 앞으로도 지속적으로 시민의 작은 불편한 사항에도 관심을 갖고 해결할 수 있도록 노력해달라”고 당부했다.

한편, 의정부시는 14개 동장들이 현장에서 체감하고 주민들로부터 건의된 불편사항을 매월 동장회의를 통해 보고하고, 관련 부서와 논의하여 신속하게 해결해 나가고 있다고 밝혔다.
