[안종욱기자 = 경기북부/강원] 4월 20일, 가평군은 경기도북부자치경찰위원회와 행복마을관리소-자치경찰 상호 협업 체계 구축을 위한 업무 협약을 체결하였다고 밝혔다.

이날 협약식에는 김성기 군수를 비롯해 경기도북부자치경찰위원회 신현기 위원장, 가평경찰서 류경숙 서장 등 10여명이 참석해 원활한 업무협약 이행을 약속하였다고 전했다.

이번 협약은 행복마을관리소와 자치경찰의 협력체계를 구축하여 주민생활 최접점에 위치한 행복마을관리소 지킴이의 치안 관련 역할을 강화하고 활동지역 내 범죄 취약요소를 발굴·예방·해결하여 관리소의 지역 안전 확보 기능을 강화하기 위해 체결하게 되었다고 했다.

업무협약을 통해 행복마을관리소 운영위원회에 경찰관이 참여하여 범죄 예방을 위한 인적 네트워크 안전망을 공고히 하고, 범죄 취약지 공동 실태조사·교통안전교육 및 범죄 예방 홍보 등 치안 향상을 위한 사업 추진에 상호 협력하여 보다 안전한 마을을 조성하는 성과가 있을 것으로 기대되고 있다고 전했다.
