[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 10월 14일과 24일 포천시는 평생학습동아리 발굴지원사업의 일환으로 신읍동 행복마을관리소 벽화그리기를 진행했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 벽화그리기에는 컨소시엄 동아리 예쁘담, 포천여성합창단, 딩가딩 동아리, 일동중학교 청소년 등이 참여해 낡고 오래된 신읍동 행복마을관리소 주변을 누구나 한 번쯤은 방문해보고 싶은 아름다운 벽화가 있는 공간으로 꾸몄다고 했다.

이번 프로젝트에 참여한 동아리 회원들은 “한층 밝아진 행복마을관리소를 보니 뿌듯하다.”라며 “행복마을관리소를 방문하는 시민들에게 소소한 기쁨을 선사할 수 있어 기쁘다.”라고 소감을 밝혔다.

포천시 관계자는 “앞으로도 자원봉사의 의미와 가치를 전하며 지속적으로 봉사활동에 참여할 수 있는 환경을 조성하도록 노력하겠다.”라고 전했다.
