[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동해시는 다음달 31일까지 기본형 공익직불제 사업 신청을 접수한다고 밝혔다.

동해시에 따르면, 공익직불제 사업은 농업활동을 통해 환경보전, 농촌유지, 식품안전 등 공익을 창출할 수 있도록 농업인에게 보조금을 지원하는 제도라고 전했다.

2020년부터 쌀소득보전직불제, 밭농업직접지불제, 조건불리직불제 등 6개 직불제가 기본형 공익직접직불제로 통합돼 경작면적에 따라 보조금을 차등 지급하는 ‘면적직불금’과 경작면적이 0.5ha이하 등인 농가에 120만원을 정액 지급하는 ‘소농직불금’으로 나눠 지급되고 있다고 했다.

신청 대상 농가는 오는 5월 31일까지 동해농업기술센터로 방문 접수하면 되며, 시는 농가의 편의를 위해 농촌 지역을 중심으로 직불제 현장 접수도 진행할 계획이고, 기타 자세한 내용은 동해시 농업기술센터로 문의하면 된다고 전했다.

기본형 공익직불제 신청 농업인은 신청서 접수 후 농업경영체의 화학비료 사용기준 준수, 영농폐기물 적정 처리, 공익증진 교육이수 등 농업·농촌 공익적 활동 준수사항을 반드시 이행하여야 한다고 했다.
