[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1월 26일 양주시 회천노인복지관은 직장·공장새마을운동양주시협의회에서 이웃돕기 쌀 200kg를 기탁했다고 밝혔다. 

이번 쌀은 설 명절을 앞두고 어르신들에게 소중히 사용됐으면 하는 마음에 직장·공장새마을운동양주시협의회 회원들이 한마음 한뜻으로 준비했다고 했다.

양주시 회천노인복지관 주민정 관장은 “회원분들께서 설 명절을 앞두고 준비해주신 쌀은 복지관 내에서 필요한 곳에 소중히 사용하도록 하겠으며, 함께 동참하여 주신 회원님들에게도 감사의 말씀을 드린다” 고 소감을 밝혔다. 

오수영 회장은 “명절을 앞두고 어려운 시기에 어르신들을 위하여 준비한 쌀을 복지관에서 필요한 곳에 소중히 사용해주셨으면 좋겠고, 어르신들이 안전하고 건강한 설 명절을 보내고 함께 만날 수 있기를 희망한다”며 소감을 전했다.
