[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 24일 양주시 회천노인복지관 사물놀이 동아리 ‘드림아리’ 는 진행된 경기복지재단 주관 어르신 동아리 경진대회 ‘9988 톡톡쇼’에 참여해 수상했다고 밝혔다.  

이번 어르신 동아리 경진대회는 코로나19로 인하여 대표 4인이 참여했고, 치열한 예선을 뚫고 진행된 본선에서는 전국에서 총 20팀이 참여했으며, 대표 4인이 경기도 수원시 소재의 경기아트센터에서 멋진 공연을 선보였다고 했다. 

노래와 춤, 기악 등 전국의 다채로운 동아리가 참여했으며, 양주시 회천노인복지관의 드림아리 동아리는 멋진 연주를 통해 경기도지사 장려상 표창을 수상했다고 전했다.  

사물놀이 동아리 대표 어르신은 “복지관에서 활동하며 큰 대회에 참여할 수 있는 기회를 주신 경기복지재단 관계자님들과 양주시 회천노인복지관에 감사드리며, 무언가를 도전하고 성취할 수 있음에 큰 기쁨을 느낀다”고 소감을 말했다.

한편 드림아리 동아리는 지난 5월부터 시작된 복지관 사물놀이 동아리로 6개월간의 짧은 연습 기간이었지만 큰 성과를 이루었으며, 총 12명의 어르신으로 구성됐다고 밝혔다.
