의정부 백병원은 1996년 의정부 신곡동에 설립된 종합병원으로 2015년부터 매년 1천만 원을 기부하며 지역사회 나눔문화 확산에 기여하고 있고, 소외된 이웃에 대한 따뜻한 나눔의 문화가 확산 될 수 있도록 사회공헌활동을 이어가고 있다고 했다.

안병용 의정부시장은 “코로나19로 저소득층의 어려움이 더욱 커진 이때 이 성금이 어려운 이웃들의 따뜻한 겨울을 나는 데 큰 도움이 되도록 잘 전달하겠다”고 밝혔다.

의정부시는 어려운 이웃들을 위한 자원발굴과 나눔을 위해 앞으로도 지역사회와 지속적으로 협력해 나갈 방침이라고 했다.
