[김일웅 기자= 경기북부] 지난3일 오전 8시50분경 가평군 읍내에 한 빌라에서 가스버너가 폭발한 사고가 일어났다.  이 폭발로 인해 빌라의 유리창은 산산조각이 났고, 창들이 휘어지는 피해를 입었지만, 다행이 폭발에 따른 인명피해는 없다고 가평소방서는 밝혔다.

당시 부주위로 인해 폭발 사고를 일으킨 A씨는 독고노인을 돌보는 요양보호사로 일하고 있었고, 화재당일 08:50분경 화장실에서 추위 때문에 공기를 데우기 위해서 변기위에 캠핑용 휴대용가스버너를 올려놓고 주방에서 일을 하던 중 펑하는 소리와 함께 화장실 파손과 베란다 유리창이 깨져 9시 7분경 119에 신고를 했다고 밝혔다.

같은 빌라에 사는 주민들은 폭발음에 놀라 집 밖으로 나오는 소동이 이어졌고, 당시 신고를 접수받고 현장에 출동한 소방관들에 의해 화재는 초기진압 됐다고 전했다.

이 폭발로 출동한 인원과 장비는 소방 26, 경찰 4, 가평군 4명을 포함해 34명이며, 장비는 펌프 3, 탱크 3, 구조 1, 지휘 1, 조사 1, 굴절 1, 기타 3으로 13대가 출동했다고 가평소방서는 밝혔다.

가평소방서는 현재 폭발로 인한 재산 피해를 확인중에 있으며,  화재의 원인은 기타 부주위로 인한 화기취급에서 발생했다고 밝혔다.
