[김준호 기자=삼척시] 삼척시는 설 명절 소비자 물가 상승과 주요 성수품 및 식재료 가격급등이 예상됨에 따라 시민 가계부담 완화와 생활 안정 도모를 위해 ‘설 명절 대비 물가안정대책’을 추진한다고 밝혔다.

이에 시는 오는 1월 20일까지 설 명절 대비 물가대책상황실을 운영해 농·축·임·수산물 등 16개 중점관리품목에 대한 수급 및 물가동향 파악, 불공정 거래행위 신고접수·단속 및 물가안정을 위한 현장 활동을 지원할 계획이다.

또한, 해양·농정·축산·보건 등 분야별로 물가안정 지도·점검반을 편성하여 요금 과다 인상과 담합 행위, 축산물 계량 위반, 농·수산물 매점매석, 가격표시제 등 8개 불법행위를 집중 지도·점검에 나서며, 건전한 상거래 질서 확립을 위해 물가모니터 요원 5명을 배치해 중점관리 품목 대상으로 가격변동 추이를 파악하고 가격인상업소에 대해 가격을 인하할 수 있도록 행정지도를 실시한다.

아울러, 설 연휴 전에 전통시장 경기 활성화를 위해 삼척중앙시장, 도계 5일장, 원덕 5일장 등지에서 ‘설 명절 물가안정 캠페인 및 전통시장 장보기 행사’를 추진하여 시장 상인들에게는 물가안정 동참을 홍보하고, 시민들에게는 지역화폐인 삼척사랑상품권 이용을 독려할 예정이며, 명절기간 전통시장 이용객 편의를 위해 주변 도로의 주·정차 허용구간을 설정하여 한시적으로 운용할 계획이다. 

삼척시 관계자는 “설 명절을 맞이해 전통시장 장보기, 삼척사랑상품권 사용, 착한가격업소 이용 등을 홍보해 지역 경기 활성화와 물가관리 안정에 힘쓰겠다.”고 말했다.
