[김현우 기자 = 속초] 속초시가 경제 침체로 어려운 골목상권을 살리고 치솟는 물가로 힘든 시민들의 경제적 부담을 덜어 주기 위해 추진하는 ‘속초사랑상품권’이 4일부터 본격적인 발행에 들어갔다고 전했다. 

속초시는 ‘속초사랑카드’ 본격 시행을 맞이하여 시민들의 적극적인 관심과 속초사랑카드 소비를 장려하기 위해 이병선 속초시장이 4일 오전 농협은행 속초시청 출장소를 방문, 속초시민 제1호로 속초사랑카드를 발급받고 중앙시장 내 상점을 방문하여 속초사랑카드로 먹거리를 구입하기도 했다. 

속초사랑카드는 연간 100억 원 규모로 발행될 예정이며, 1인 월 30만 원(설·추석 명절 있는 달은 40만 원)한도 내에서 충전 가능하고, 구입 시 10% 할인이 적용된다.

한편 속초시는 속초사랑카드 발행을 앞두고 지난 9월 가맹점 사전 모집을 시작하여 현재까지 음식점, 주유소, 소매점 등 1,200여 개의 가맹점을 모집한 상태이며 카드 발급 및 충전은 ‘chak’ 어플을 통한 우편 배송이나 관내 은행(농협,우리은행, 새마을금고, 신협 등)을 통한 방문 수령 및 충전이 가능하다. 

속초시장 이병선은 “속초사랑카드가 소상공인을 비롯한 시민의 든든한 버팀목이 되어 지역 경제 활성화로 이어질 수 있도록 최선의 노력을 다 하겠다.”라고 말했다.
