[김현우 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 춘천시 공무원이 강원특별자치도 본격 출범에 앞서 특별자치도에 대한 개념 정립에 나서고 있다고 밝혔다.

춘천시에 따르면 강원특별자치도 릴레이 특강이 4일 오후 2시 시청 대회의실에서 개최됐다.

이번 특강은 최근 발족한 민관합동 협의체인 「특별자치도 출범 춘천시 준비단」이 제안한 사항이며, 일선 공무원부터 특별자치도에 대한 정확한 개념 정립이 필요하다는 인식에서 마련됐다.

특강은 3인의 강사가 각 20분씩 강의하는 릴레이 형식으로 진행됐으며, 춘천시 전체 팀장급 이상 간부공무원이 참석해 교육을 들었다.

교육은 김기석 강원대 정치외교학과 교수(특별자치도 출범 춘천시 준비단 위원장)의 강원특별자치도, 수부도시 춘천의 역할, 조용호 변혁법제정책연구소장, 강원특별자치도법과 춘천의 미래, 이원학 강원연구원 선임연구위원, 민선8기 시정목표와 특별자치도다.

이번 특강을 통해 특별자치도에 대한 개념 정립과 춘천 특성에 맞는 분야별 규제 및 특례 발굴에 있어 큰 도움이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다.

최찬우 역점시책추진단장은 “강원특별자치도에 대해 우리 공무원들부터 정확히 알아야 한다”라며 “이번에는 자체 교육이지만 강원도 차원의 권역별 공무원 교육도 예정돼 있다”라고 말했다. 

이어 “강원도와는 긴밀한 협력체계를 구축함과 동시에 춘천에 필요한 특례들이 특별법에 담길 수 있도록 2,000여명 춘천시 공무원들이 혼연일체가 되어 노력할 것”이라고 강조했다.
