[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 12일, 동두천시 상패동 행정복지센터는 동두천시정신건강복지센터 부설 자살예방센터와 생명존중 문화조성 및 사회적 안전망 구축을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.

업무협약 내용은 자살 고위험군 사례 발굴 및 연계와 상담, 복지서비스 지원, 자살 수단 통제를 위한 농약 안전 보관함 사업 진행 등으로, 이번 업무협약을 통해 양 기관은 지역사회 내 정신건강 위기 사례 발생 시 신속하게 대응할 수 있는 업무체계를 구축하는데 적극 협력하기로 했다고 전했다.

이와 더불어 관내 통장 등이 참석한 가운데 농촌 맞춤형 노인 자살 예방체계를 마련하기 위한 농약 안전 보관함 사업 설명회를 진행하였으며 2022년 농약 안전 보관함 보급사업의 목적, 농약 안전 보관함 사용 관리법 등에 대해 자세히 안내하였다고 했다. 

한영수 상패동장은 “자살예방센터와의 업무협약을 기반으로 관내 생명존중 문화조성 및 자살예방 지원체계를 마련하여 지역복지 향상을 위한 지속적 노력을 다하겠다”고 전했다.
