[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 15일 동두천시 상패동 양돈회는 상패동 행정복지센터에 백미 10kg, 130포를 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

상패동 양돈회는 돼지고기의 품질 향상 등을 위해 동두천 관내 양돈 농가가 모인 단체로, 양돈 출하 시 발생하는 수익금의 일부를 꾸준히 모아 벌써 올해로 15년째 설과 추석에 지역 내 취약계층과 복지사각지대를 위한 백미 후원을 꾸준히 이어오고 있다고 했다.

민병원 대표는 “양돈회원들의 상패동에 향한 마음과 정성의 뜻을 모아 쌀을 기탁함으로써 우리 지역 주민이 조금이나마 풍성한 명절을 보내셨으면 하는 바람이다”고 전했다. 

한영수 상패동장은 “매년 잊지 않고 어려운 이웃을 위한 아낌없는 지원에 큰 감사를 드리며, 꼭 필요한 곳에 잘 전달될 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다”고 감사의 뜻을 전했다.
