[김현우 기자 = 경기북부] 지난 2일 포천시 가산면지역사회보장협의체와 가산면 행정복지센터에서는 관내 취약계층 가구들을 방문해 이불 빨래․배달 봉사를 펼쳐 주위에 훈훈한 감동을 주고 있다고 밝혔다.

이불 빨래․배달 봉사는 거동이 불편한 홀몸 어르신이나 장애인 가구를 직접 방문해 이불을 수거하고, 인근 빨래방에서 세탁해 전달하는 봉사로, 2019년 포천시 세탁업소와 협약을 맺어 추진되어왔다고 했다.

세탁 봉사를 받은 한 어르신은 “몸이 불편해 이불 빨래를 할 엄두가 나지 않았는데 이렇게 깨끗하게 세탁해주니 마음이 편하다. 감사하다.”라며 고마움을 전했다. 

민간위원장 이덕순은 “거동이 불편한 분들에게 이불 빨래는 큰 부담이 될 수 있다. 깨끗해진 이불과 함께 건강한 생활을 하길 바란다.”라고 말했다.

이영구 가산면장은 “본격적인 여름이 시작됨에 따라 취약계층 위생관리에 더욱 힘쓰겠다. 찾아가는 복지상담을 통해 대상자에게 꼭 필요한 지원을 할 수 있도록 노력하겠다.”라고 말했다.
