[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 동두천시종합자원봉사센터는 제18기 한마음가족봉사단을 구성하고 본격 활동을 시작했다고 밝혔다. 

지난 16일, 제18기 한마음가족봉사단 23가족은 1:1로 매칭한 23분의 어르신께 센터에서 준비한 간식 키트를 전달하고 가족 소개와 더불어 어르신 안부를 살피는 봉사활동을 실시했다고 전했다. 

제18기 한마음가족봉사단에 처음 참여한 박○○ 가족은 “첫 만남이라 설렘과 두려움이 동시에 있었는데 막상 얼굴을 뵙고 이야기를 나누다 보니 마음이 편해지고 활동하길 잘했다는 생각이 든다. 아이도 할머니와의 만남을 좋아하고 있어 앞으로 우리 가족과 좋은 인연이 될 것 같다”고 소감을 전했다.

센터 관계자는 “돌봄이 필요한 노인이 많은 지역 여건상 어르신의 안부를 살피고 필요한 것을 조금이나마 채워주는 활동이 많이 요구된다”며 “무엇보다 코로나의 여파로 심신이 지쳐있는 어르신께 삶의 활력과 희망이 되고 있어 앞으로도 가족이 돌봄 어르신의 안부를 살피는 활동을 지속적으로 진행할 계획”이라고 밝혔다.
