[김현우 기자 = 강릉] 강릉시가 65세 이상 어르신을 대상으로 추진 중인 'AI-IoT 어르신 건강관리사업'이 시민들의 큰 호응을 받고 있다.

건강관리사업은 기존 상반기 목표 인원인 450명에서 30명 이상이 추가 등록하여, 올해 상반기 480명의 대상자 등록으로 마감했다.

보건소에 자주 방문하기 힘든 어르신들이 정보통신기술을 활용하여 비대면으로 건강관리를 할 수 있다는 장점으로 인해 등록자가 증가한 것으로 보인다.

'AI-IoT 어르신건강관리사업'은 고혈압, 당뇨 등 만성적 건강위험요인을 가졌거나 식생활 및 운동습관 교정이 필요한 어르신에게 앱과 스마트기기를 이용하여 건강관리팀이 직접 건강습관의 행태개선을 관리하는 사업이다. 

개인별 1:1맞춤형 건강관리 서비스를 지향하는 이번 사업은 올해부터 독거 어르신 대상 인공지능(AI) 스피커 100대를 이용해 정신적·신체적 돌봄을 종합적으로 제공하고 있다.

지난해 전체 인원을 대상으로 진행한 조사에서 사업 만족도는 94.8% 이상이었으며, 관심도는 92%를 보이는 등 사업 자체에 대한 만족도와 호응이 높은 것으로 확인다.

또한, 2022년 전국 건강증진사업 디지털 헬스케어 부문에서 장관상을 수상하여 어르신 건강을 위한 노력을 인정받기도 했다. 

강릉시 관계자는“시민분들의 호응에 감사드리며, 앞으로도 어르신들의 건강역량강화를 위한 최고의 건강 프로그램으로 자리매김하고자 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
