이번 사업은 지난 10월 1일부터 16일간 추진됐으며, 총 13개소에 국화꽃을 메인 테마로 선정하여 가을 분위기 물씬 풍기는 꽃길을 조성했고, 이와 더불어 쓰레기 상습 무단투기 장소를 청소하고 꽃화분을 설치하는 등 환경정화도 병행했다고 전했다.

신곡1동주민센터 출입구에 대형국화화분 8개를 비치하고, 국화 280본을 식재하여 방문 민원인에게 꽃향기 가득한 볼거리를 선사했으며, 둔배미마을에는 거리화단에 노지국화 258본을 식재하고, 보행로 난간에 국화꽃바구니 130개를 설치하여 걷고 싶은 국화 꽃길을 조성했으며, 발곡중학교 명품가로수길에는 영산홍 270주를 보식하여 기존 녹색의 심심함에 변화를 주었다고 했다.
