도서관 관계자는 “도서관은 시민이 함께 만들어 가는 공간이다”라며 “한 해 동안 도서관을 이용하면서 느꼈던 점을 나누면서 미진했던 부분은 보강하고, 잘하고 있는 부분은 더욱 매진하여 시민들이 책과 함께하는 문화를 향유할 수 있는 공간으로 나아가기 위해 이번 만족도조사를 실시하게 됐다”고 밝혔다. 

또한 “코로나19라는 펜데믹을 슬기롭게 넘어가기 위해 도서관이 디딤돌이 되기를 기대하며 시민들의 다양한 의견을 청취하고자 한다”고 덧붙였다. 

만족도 조사 참여방법으로는 동두천시 도서관 홈페이지 ‘팝업존’을 링크하거나 시립도서관 자료실에 비치된 설문지를 작성하면 되고, 참여자에게는 예쁜 컵을 증정하며, 기타 궁금한 사항은 도서관 홈페이지를 참고하거나 으로 연락하면 된다고 했다.
