[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 9월 10일과 17일, 24일 3회에 걸쳐 동두천시 평생교육원 시립도서관에서는 성인 10여 명을 대상으로 어수정 작은도서관에서 독서의 달 문화강좌 '행복한 시 낭송'을 운영하여 수강생들로부터 큰 호응을 얻었다고 밝혔다.

지역작가인 손순자 강사를 초빙하여 코로나19 방역수칙을 지키며 운영된 '행복한 시 낭송'은 참석한 수강생 대부분에게 시 낭송을 잘 하기 위한 발음 연습과 국내 유명 시 작품을 낭송하게 하면서 낭송의 맛과 기술을 전수하는 유익한 시간을 가졌다고 했다. 

이번 문화강좌에 참여했던 수강생 중 한 명은 “이번 강좌에 참여하여 시 낭송에 대해 궁금했던 점이 풀려서 마음이 홀가분하다”며 “향후 시 낭송 강좌가 연장 운영되었으면 좋겠다”는 바람을 전했다.

도서관 관계자는 “이번 시 낭송 강좌가 코로나19로 많은 어려움이 있었지만 수강생들의 호응 속에 성황리 마무리되어 너무 기쁘다”며 “수강생들의 시 낭송 추가 운영에 대한 의견을 반영하여 10∼11월 중 운영할 예정이다”라고 밝혔다.
