[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 11월 5일부터 오는 12월 17일까지 동두천시 평생교육원 시립도서관에서는 매주 금요일 초등학생 10여 명을 대상으로 상패동에 있는 남산모루 작은도서관에서 독서문화행사를 운영 중에 있다고 밝혔다.

지난 11월 5일부터 12일까지 운영된 ‘할로윈 데이를 즐겨라!’는 방역수칙을 준수하며 대면수업으로 운영된 프로그램으로, 초등학생 1∼3학년 10여명을 대상으로 ‘오싹오싹 당근’,‘오싹오싹 팬티’책을 읽어주며 할로윈 가면과 가랜드, 종이 무드등을 만들며 영미문화를 배우고 느끼는 즐거운 시간을 가졌고, 오는 11월 19일부터는 5회 예정으로 초등학교 1∼3학년 대상으로 동화 작가의 여러 작품을 읽고 만들기, 요리 등 다양한 독후활동을 해보는 ‘동화 속 캐릭터 만들기’프로그램이 진행될 예정이라고 했다.

독서문화행사에 참여했던 한 초등학생은 “영미문화를 배울 수 있는 할로윈 데이프로그램이 무척 즐거웠다”며 “남산모루 작은도서관에서 프로그램이 진행된다면 또 참여하고 싶다”고 소감을 밝혔다. 

도서관 관계자는“코로나19로 프로그램 운영에 많은 어려움이 있지만 어수정과 남산모루 작은도서관 활성화를 위해 다양한 프로그램이 진행되고 있으니 많은 참여를 바란다”고 전했다.
