[장선희 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 24일 오후 7시, 동두천시 평생교육원 시립도서관은 시민 20명을 대상으로 김최은영 강사를 초청하여 '서양미술과 사진이 만나는 인문학'을 대주제로 '서양미술사'에 대한 강연을 시작했다고 밝혔다.

김최은영 강사는 2017년 세종문화회관 미술관 '畵畵-반려교감' 개원디렉터 활동을 시작으로 매년 전시기획자 및 전시디렉터로 활동하였으며 현재는 컬처솔류션 대표, 미술과 담론 편집위원과 경희대학교 겸임교수로 재직하며 국내 도서관을 포함한 다양한 기관에서 서양미술을 주제로 활발한 강연 활동을 하고 있다고 했다.       

이번 강좌에서는 '빛과 함께 시시각각으로 움직이는 색채의 미묘한 변화속에서 자연의 특별히 인상적인 면을 묘사한다'는 인상주의의 대표화가인 모네와 르누아르에 대해 화가로서 성장할 수 있었던 배경, 궁핍했던 가정사와 지지자였던 친구와의 에피소드를 심도있게 설명하였고, 또한 두 작가의 대표 작품인 '해돋이, 야외사생 수련-양산을 든 여인'과 '물랭 드 라 갈레트의 무도회, 보트 파티에서의 오찬, 피아노 치는 소녀들'외 기타 다수의 작품들을 영상자료로 보여주면서 흥미진진한 설명으로 뜻깊은 시간을 가졌다고 했다.

인문학 강좌에 참석한 한 수강생은 “코로나19로 미술관이나 박물관 방문이 어려운 이때에 미술관을 관람한 듯한 착각을 일으킬 만큼 생생한 강의가 인상깊었다”며 “앞으로 남은 인문학 강의 일정에도 꼭 참석하겠다”고 밝혔다.
