[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 19일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장 정윤경 의원은 군포중학교가 개최하는 체육관건립위원회 회의에 참석했다고 밝혔다.

이번 회의는 지난 5월 26일 체육관 위치선정을 위한 정담회 이후 학교 자체적으로  체육관건립위원회가 구성되어 처음 개최된 회의로 코로나 상황을 감안하여 비대면 회의로 진행되었다고 했다. 

이날 회의는 정윤경 교육기획위원회위원장과 김미경 학교장을 비롯한 학생과 학부모 대표 등 13명 위원들이 참석한 가운데 이루어졌다고 했다.

정윤경 위원장은 “군포중학교 체육관 설립은 학생에게 쾌적한 체육교육환경을 제공하고, 지역주민에게는 학교공간의 공유와 개방을 통해 생활체육을 활성화하는데 이바지 할 것이라며, 학교가 마을교육공동체의 구심점이 되기 위해 반드시 필요한 사업이라는 ”인사로 체육관건립 추진의지를 밝혔다.

학교측 관계자에 따르면 공사기간 급식방식 변경, 주택가 조망권 중첩, 공사기간 비산먼지, 소음 발생등에 대한 다양한 민원이 예상된다며, 특히 급식과 관련하여 공동급식 혹은 위탁급식 등 급식 추진방안 면밀히 검토하겠다고 밝혔다.

정윤경 위원장은 우선 체육관 건립에 대한 학교구성원들의 공감대가 형성되어 있으나, 공사추진시 인근 주민에 대한 피해는 불가피한 측면이 있으므로, 지역 주민자치회, 체육동호회 등을 통한 적극적 홍보와 민원 해결방안 모색에 나서줄 것을 학교측에 요구하였고, 군포지역 도의원으로서 주민을 위한 적극적인 지원을 해 나가겠다고 밝혔다. 

정 의원은 그동안 군포시 관내 학교 실내체육관 건립사업추진을 위한 노력 끝에 실내체육관 부지확보가 어려운 일부학교를 제외하고 대부분 학교가 체육관이 건립되거나 추진중에 있어 무척 고무적이라고 언급하며, 군포중의 경우 체육관증축사업비 확보가 최우선과제인 만큼 학교와 주민들의 숙원사업이 반드시 이루어 질 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다고 말하며 회의를 마무리 했다고 전했다.
