[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 1일 군포중학교는 학부모와 주민, 교직원이 참석한 가운데 체육관(급식실) 건립을 위한 공청회를 열었다고 밝혔다.  

이 자리에는 이학영 국회의원, 정윤경 도의원, 이은광 군포의왕교육지원청 교육장, 최명진 군포중학교 체육관건립추진위원회 위원장이 참석하여 학교와 주민들 숙원사업에 대한 적극적인 관심을 나타냈다고 했다. 

이학영 의원은 1982년 설립되어 오랜 전통을 갖고 있는 군포중학교에 체육관이 없다는 것에 안타까움을 나타내며, 이번 공청회를 통해 주민들의 체육관건립에 대한 많은 관심을 느낄수 있었던 자리였다며 지역발전을 위해 적극적인 지원이 이루어 지도록 노력하겠다고 말했다. 또한, 경기도의회 교육기획위원장인 정윤경 의원이 군포지역의 열악한 교육환경을 개선하기 위해 많은 노력을 해주고 있다고 말했다.  

정윤경 의원은 “경기도의회 교육기획위원회 위원장으로서 군포중학교 체육관 설립에 대한 책임감을 가지고 경기도교육청과 적극적으로 소통하며 추진해 나가겠다”고 답했다. 

이 후 공사 추진과정 설명과 질의과정에서는 공사시 소음 등에 대한 우려가 표출되기도 했다. 이에 군포의왕교육청 시설관계자는 다양한 공법을 설계하여 주민피해가 최소한이 될 수 있도록 노력하겠다고 답했다. 

정 위원장은 학교와 주민들의 숙원사업을 진행하기 위해 공사를 추진하게 되면 공사와 관련한 불편사항이 불가피하게 발생하는데 학교와 교육청, 주민간 일정부분의 양보가 필요할 것이다. 라며 공청회를 통해 사전에 조금씩 이해하는 계기가 되길 바란다고 말했다. 

군포중학교는 현재 체육관 건립 33억원(특별교부금 27억원, 지자체부담 6억)과 급식실 19억원을 포함해 총 52억원 규모의 사업추진을 준비하고 있다고 전했다.
