[김일중 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 2월 11일 (재)포천시교육재단은 포천낚시연합회에서 장학금 500만 원을 기탁했다고 밝혔다.

포천시 생활체육 및 관광레저문화 활성화에 크게 기여하고 있는 관내 10개 낚시터로 구성된 포천낚시연합회는 매년 포천시교육재단에 장학금을 기탁해 관내 소외계층을 위한 후원 및 지역사회 나눔활동에 앞장서고 있다고 했다.

서승남 대표는 “코로나19로 힘든 상황에서 아이들에게 도움을 주고 포천 인재 키우기에 보탬이 되기 위해 회원들이 한마음 한뜻으로 매년 교육재단에 기부하게 됐다.”면서, “올해도 소외계층 학생들을 위한 장학금으로 뜻깊게 사용되기를 바란다.”라고 말했다 

박윤국 이사장은 “모두가 어려운 경제 여건 속에서도 지역을 아끼고 사랑하는 마음으로 매년 따뜻한 마음을 전달해 주심에 감사드린다. 귀한 마음이 담긴 장학금은 다양한 교육사업에 사용되어 인재 양성을 위해 사용하겠다.”라고 말했다.
