[김일웅 기자 = 경기북부/강원] 지난 18일 경기도의회 교육기획위원회 정윤경 의원은 광주하남교육지원청을 방문했다고 밝혔다.

이번 방문은 2022년 3월 1일자로 새로 부임한 김성미 교육장과의 상견례를 진행하고 광주‧하남 지역의 교육 현안을 살피기 위해 마련된 자리로, 정윤경 위원장을 비롯하여 박덕동 의원과 광주하남교육지원청 교육장 및 국‧과장이 참석했다고 했다.

정윤경 의원은 6. 1 지방선거를 앞두고 예비후보자 등록 전까지 ‘경기도의회와 교육지원청 간의 소통 활성화’를 위한 지역 현안 협의를 진행하고 있으며, 이번 방문은 부천교육지원청과 성남교육지원청에 이어 세 번째 방문이었다고 했다.

정윤경 위원장은 다문화가정 학생을 대상으로 하는 ‘온라인 한국어 콘텐츠 지원 사업’의 중요성을 강조하며 “경기도에 있는 다문화가정의 학생, 학부모가 빠른 시일 내에 체계적인 한국어교육을 지원받을 수 있도록 교육지원청 차원에서 조속한 사업 추진을 위해 적극적으로 노력해 줄 것”을 당부했다.

교육기획위원회는 2022년도 본예산에 25개 교육지원청을 대상으로 ‘온라인 한국어 콘텐츠 지원 사업’ 예산 5억 원을 편성한 바 있다고 전했다. 

박덕동 의원은 코로나19 사회적 거리두기 해제로 인한 일상 회복과 관련하여 확진자 격리 의무 해제에 따른 코로나19 확진 학생 관리 및 지필고사 응시 등과 관련하여 선제적 준비의 필요성을 강조하며 학교 현장에 혼란이 없도록 교육지원청 차원의 충분한 준비와 철저한 선행 조치를 요청했다고 했다.

또한 이날 광주하남교육지원청 청사 내 ‘이음카페’가 리모델링 후 재오픈하여 정윤경 위원장과 박덕동 의원이 축하의 말을 전달하기 위해 방문했다고 전했다. 

정윤경 위원장은 “교육지원청 내 카페 공간 등 시설이 지역 주민에게 개방되어 마을과 지역사회와 함께 소통하는 공간으로 거듭나길 바란다.”며 교육지원청뿐만 아니라 학교 시설 개방을 위해 적극적으로 노력해 줄 것을 당부하면서 일정을 마무리했다.

한편 정윤경 위원장은 지방선거 등록 전까지 교육지원청을 방문하여 교육 현안 논의 및 현장의 목소리 청취를 통해 현장을 꼼꼼히 챙기는 현장 행보를 계속할 예정이라고 전했다.
